THE BLESSINGS OF LIBERTY AWARD
PEI's Trustees established the Blessings of Liberty Award in 1988 to recognize other organizations for significant accomplishments in citizenship education.
Recipients include:

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in recognition of their efforts to preserve American history. Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity in recognition of its 75 years of service to the nation. |

American Legion for Boys/Girls States, oratorical contests and youth activities, |

Boy Scouts of America to honor its 90 years of values program teaching and leading American youth in service to "God and my Country." |

Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge for its 50 years of service to the nation. |

Military Order of the World Wars on its 75th anniversary for patriotic education and R.O.T.C. programs |

Mount Vernon Ladies' Association to recognize its educational programs and leadership of the 1999 bicentennial commemoration of George Washington's death. |

Associated Industries of Missouri listed PEI publications in its recommended readings |

Boy Scouts of America awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for PEI's assistance in revising its citizenship merit badges. |

Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge thrice awarded PEI its George Washington Medal "for outstanding achievements in bringing about a better understanding of the American way of life." |

The Military Order of the World Wars selected PEI's program "to emphasize the American Way of Life -- our political and economic rights as guaranteed by the Constitution." |

National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution endorsed PEI and requested its chapters to assist in distributing PEI materials. |

New York Public Schools Bureau of Community Education presented a certificate "for outstanding ability in community leadership and creative involvement." |
