 Youth Leadership and Patriotic Education Programs

You can help promote much-needed patriotic education in our nation's schools through the Military Order's patriotic education program. Thousands of citizens each year participate in programs sponsored directly and supported by the Order, including seminars at the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, and seventeen other sites across the Nation. In addition, the Order provides books and materials for students to learn about the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and our Flag. Outstanding future leaders get an education that helps to keep alive our National Heritage and Free Enterprise System.

The Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI) is a non-profit, non-partisan, tax-exempt educational organization whose purpose is to convey to successive generations of college youth a better understanding of the values and institutions that sustain a free society.

Founded in 1953, ISI works "to educate for liberty" -- to identify the best and the brightest college students and to nurture in these future leaders the American ideal of ordered liberty. Through its integrated program of lectures, conferences, publications, and fellowships, the Institute annually works with hundreds of thousands of students and faculty from coast to coast. An array of free publications and other resources is available to students and teachers.

The Independence Hall Association (IHA) was founded in 1942 to spearhead the creation of Independence National Historical Park. During the last several years the IHA has become one of the foremost electronic publishers of American historical material on the Internet.

As a significant owner and publisher of Philadelphia and 18th-century American-related "content," the Association's focus is on two fronts. We are devoted to providing information via the World Wide Web which educates, inspires, and entertains visitors worldwide with the importance of Philadelphia historically and into the present. We are concurrently devoted to working with other historic and tourist organizations in Philadelphia to help bring visitors to this most venerable and vibrant of American cities.

One of the IHA's primary goals has been to reach historic-minded people from America and abroad who are interested in the stories, people, and events associated with the founding of the United States. Further, we want to reach out to those interested in learning the principles of liberty and democratic government which first emerged and became reality during the Revolutionary and Constitutional periods in Philadelphia.

Visitor response to ushistory.org has been enthusiastic. Recently, the websites created by the IHA and which constitute ushistory.org have attracted  more than nine million "hits" in one month. Currently our "congress" of websites includes the following:
